Cherry Chocolate Ice Cream

This dairy free ice cream (or “nice cream”) recipe is antioxidant rich, plant-based, and very easy to make. All you need is a few ingredients and a blender. True to its name, this ice cream is bursting with the flavors of chocolate and cherry, while the dates sweeten it up and the blackberries add a little oomf.

This is my favorite plant-based ice cream recipe. It’s excellent as more of a milkshake/smoothie style too. Filled with healthy whole food ingredients, you can eat this in abundance to nourish your body while tasting the sweetest most flavorful treat.

Cherry Chocolate Vegan Ice Cream | Easy Plant-Based Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 medjool dates, pitted & chopped

  • 2 T raw cacao powder

  • 2 C frozen sweet cherries

  • 1/2 C frozen blackberries

  • 1 T tahini

  • 1 T flax seeds

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1/2 C water + a few tablespoons if needed (will depend on your blender) — If you are going for a smoothie or milkshake texture, add a bit more liquid.

Method

  1. Place dates in a small bowl with water, let soak for 5 minutes.

  2. Blend all ingredients until smooth
