Hi friends! I’m jumping on the app to say what’s up?...and share these amazing chocolate-chippy treats. Made from whole plant foods (minus the vegan choc. chips 🤣) these taste like cookies 🍪 with the texture of a brownie... music to my ears and tastebuds. They are oil-free, sweetened with dates, gluten-free, and obviously 🌱. ..So, where do you find this recipe, you ask? Luckily I have an answer for you. As you may or may not know, I work as a dancer and choreographer and am producing a show in Minneapolis, MN. These chocolate cookie brownies (official name TBD) are a part of a plant-based dessert e-book that I’m making as a donor reward for our Kickstarter campaign!! Woo hoo! My breakfast oats are one of my favorite parts of my morning. Pictured here are oats with frozen blackberries & cherries served with flax, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, macadamia nuts, cinnamon and blackstrap molasses. @nutrition_facts_org approves Blackstrap molasses as a “green light” sweetener. Research the nutritional components of this delicious sweet syrup and I promise you won’t be disappointed. ☺️ • I made it back to Minnesota safely, I have a whirlwind of a summer ahead of me and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ll try to be as active as possible in this space, but I’ll be cooking up some projects (both @peasfulplate related on not) that may keep me off the app a bit more than usual. Salad is one meal I can eat limitlessly. Just give me your largest mixing bowl, fresh herbs, a wide variety a leafies, fresh squeezed lemon juice and I’m good... however the one pictured is also a favorite. Or a vegan Caesar salad? You see?! It’s so versatile. Just remember: if you’re making a salad make it BIG because usually it’s pretty low cal and being energy deficient is NOT fun ... or ideal 💙 • This salad has kale, romaine, spinach, cilantro, parsley, cabbage, steamed sweet potato, black beans, shredded carrot, tomato, raw shredded beets and a homemade tahini dressing (I usually mix tahini + vinegar of choice + water + salt + medjool date or maple syrup)
COFFEE or TEA + HEALTHY TREAT = the perfect match in my opinion. These tiny pumpkin breads are made from my pumpkin oat muffin recipe placed in a different mould. I’ll link the recipe in my bio. They’re perfect to make ahead of time so you have breakfast ready during those weeks you’re too busy to cook in the morning. 💙
